One of ATPC’s main strategies for sustainability is a partnership with Volt Industries Sdn. Bhd., which started in November 2023. This partnership is a big step forward for both companies. ATPC is currently in the final stages of acquiring a 51% stake in VOLT. This move is expected to be crucial for ATPC’s green energy initiative. As part of this initiative, they're working on setting up 50 electric vehicle charging stations in Pahang, Malaysia. These stations are already in progress.
Additionally, ATPC signed a deal with Oriental Industries Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. in November 2023. This company specializes in electric bikes. Together, they've formed a Special Purpose Vehicle, each owning 50%, to focus on distributing and marketing electric bikes. At the ceremony, they showcased some of these bikes, which will soon be available in cities like Kuala Lumpur and Penang after getting clearance from SIRIM.
Another exciting development is VOLT’s independent agreement with KAB Smart Solar Energy Sdn. Bhd. This agreement opens up opportunities for collaboration in solar energy systems. It highlights how VOLT’s expertise in EV charging stations can complement KAB Smart Solar’s skills in solar energy.
